As some of you may know, Michael and I are working on our biggest co-production yet! We are expecting our first child, a baby girl named Zora, due this November 20th! We had our baby shower last weekend, and our dear friend Heather, AKA wedding photographer Heather Curiel Photography (who photographed our wedding three years ago), captured our shower for us! I am so grateful to have these photos; we were surrounded by so many people we love!
Our sweet friend Natasha with EcoChic Floral made the most amazing gourd and succulent centerpieces for our tables (she sells these for your own Thanksgiving and holiday centerpieces and uses them in wedding designs–I LOVE them!) Our friend Wesleann made all the colored tree branches, bird houses, pennant flags, owl lanterns, and the decorating craft station. She’s a crafty goddess, and after this shower, we’re forseeing future crafty collaborations for weddings and events. Our friend Lesley and our family rounded out the team who made this day happen along with friends who helped us set up and clean up, and we are so, so very thankful. The night before Austin had terrible storms, lost power, and our original venue flooded (which we found out about three hours before the shower started), so having our baby shower at Mercury Hall was kind of a last-minute miracle! It was a wonderful lesson in what it means to have a great community of friends and family surrounding you, and reaffirmed that this sweet, little one of ours will be born into so much love!
